DCH Solutions was founded on a simple belief: that the right guidance at the right moment can transform an organization — and the leader running it.
As the President and founder, David C. Harvey is a senior national nonprofit executive leader who has spent his career at the intersection of social justice, diversity and equity, public health, anti-poverty, education, and disability issues. Through the leadership of national organizations and work on public policy at the national level, he has seen firsthand what it takes to build institutions that endure and missions that matter.
David has secured significant funding through the Congressional appropriations process for national association members of organizations he has led and raised millions of dollars from private donors, federal agencies, foundations, and corporate sponsors. He has published numerous book chapters and journal articles, appeared widely in the national media, and spoken at domestic and international conferences.
His appointments include serving as Chair of the ASTHO Affiliate Council, Commissioner to the U.S. National Commission for UNESCO, and service on multiple boards of directors. David served as Chair of the National Organizations Responding to AIDS Coalition (NORA) and helped found a national maternal and child health HIV/AIDS association, the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership (FAPP), Priority ONE: Protecting the Public's Health, and the Adult Literacy Caucus with Congressional members of the House of Representatives. He has also served as a turnaround CEO, stepping into an organization in crisis and restoring stability, focus, and momentum. David is a trained executive coach with a focus on emerging nonprofit leaders, and a trained interim executive director through the Support Center of New York City.
He is a graduate of Clark University with a degree in Psychology and Government, and holds an MSW in Adult Psychotherapy and Community Organizing from Catholic University of America, with early career experience in Congress and the House of Commons in London, England.
Outside of work, David is an avid outdoorsman, tennis player, dog-lover, cyclist, and arts enthusiast.
